Background
In projects in Kenya and Nigeria, we have observed that many African VET and HE institutions have a need for capacity building in strategic planning, project management, and project financing.
- The development of vocational and higher education is carried out through development projects.
- The selection of these projects is guided by the strategic priorities of the higher education institution or vocational school, which are influenced by, among others, educational authorities and funding availability.
- Many higher education institutions and vocational schools have the potential to enhance their expertise in project planning, securing funding, and implementing projects.
- Similarly, they can develop their ability to align individual projects with development strategies, roadmap implementation, and portfolio management.
